Dpad is better since you ll need to input stuff pretty fast sometimes and analogs get accuracy issues when you try to move from1 direction to the opposite really fast. Hori pad v4 not recognized dbfz isn t recognizing my fight stick even though tekken has no problem recongizing it and utilizing it. Between the two op i feel like the d pad will give you more precision. A stick is not easier and has a learning curve to it.

Finally map the stick to the d pad if you re using a stick and you should be good to go. If we were talking about about mvci kof14 or gg xrd then a stick is highly recommended but for games like injustice 2 dbfz or sfv using a controller might actually prove to be advantageous seeing. It s basicaly just personal preference really. Some people said to launch it from big picture mode.

This game was designed for pad aka d pad on controller but u can still use stick as it will work the same it is mainly preference like i only can play and prefer fightstick for tekken any other fighting game i can use either pad or stick but controller should be fine and besides fightsticks cost atleast 150 and above for a really good one.
