Drivers side window switch not working on 2005 the drivers door switch is most likely bad they get used the most and wear out first the connector on the back of switch may have come loose and not making good electrical contact remove switch and check connector and if still not working need new switch the windows are all on same circuit and either all work or none work so not fuse.

My 2006 bmw 330ci has four window switches to control all of the windows.
1 swap the left and right side switches.
Operate the switch while watching the regulator assembly and the motor.
The power window switch makes it easy to open and close the windows in your vehicle.
My driver window switch will no longer roll down my window but will roll the window up if i hold the switch.
If the window still does not work you ll need to check the motor and regulator go to step 2.
Roll the window completely up.
The automatic one touch roll up also does not work.
Test the auto power window function.
Roll the windows up and down a couple of times using the auto function to ensure everything is working properly.
If it does work you need a new switch.
Over time the fuse motor or regulator can go bad and need to be replaced if you suspect your power window switch is going bad or failing watch for the following symptoms.
One slight pull on the front two window switches should make the windows roll all the way up.
2 remove the door trim panel.
Roll the window completely up and hold the auto button in the up position for 10 seconds.
The switches are located near each window with a master panel on or near the driver s door.
